Can't clear canceled download queue

As per title. Using an Android phone. Steps to replicate:

-Download full series via the usual manner

-queue individual episodes for downloading

-cancel full series download.

Have now cancelled everything, cleared cache, forced stop, but the full series download resumes as soon as I resume downloads or reopen the app. All those downloads fail but its working through it file by file. Can't seem to clear this queue.
