Settings Submenus Always Navigate to the First Tab

When navigating through the Settings menu, any menu item that corresponds to a page containing multiple tabs always opens the first tab, regardless of which submenu item is selected.

Affected Settings Menus

• Library → [Library, Advanced] → always opens Library
• Live TV → [Setup, Channels, Advanced] → always opens Setup
• Transcoding → [Transcoding, Tone Mapping] → always opens Transcoding
• Conversions → [Conversions, Settings] → always opens Conversions
• Logs → [Logs, Settings] → always opens Logs
• Downloads → [Downloads, Settings] → always opens Downloads
• Plugins → [My Plugins, Catalog] → always opens My Plugins

In general, for a tabbed Settings page structured as:

[SubMenu1, SubMenu2, SubMenu3, ...]

selecting any submenu item from the main Settings navigation always routes to SubMenu1.

For example, selecting Tone Mapping from the Settings menu opens the Transcoding tab instead of the Tone Mapping tab.

Once the page has loaded, the tabs at the top of the page work correctly, and SubMenu2, SubMenu3, etc. can be selected normally.

The issue therefore appears to be limited to the initial navigation or routing from the main Settings menu to the requested tab, rather than the tab navigation itself.

I'm not aware that Tone Mapping is an option from the sidebar. Can you show a screenshot of where you're going to Tone Mapping from that it's not bringing you to the right place?

I'd assume that was a typo and that OP meant "Transcoding" tab. 

Though, tbh, I'm not quite clear what is this topic all about in the first place - about not remembering last visited tab? If so, I reckon I prefer it that way, always having same landing tab/anchor page, else there's a high probability of a lot of inexperienced users scratching their heads eventually.

Yes I was also wondering, is the ask basically to remember what sub tab you were in as you navigate between different sections?

This is a navigation issue, not a last visited issue.  I will use the Transcoding as an example:

Menu flow when selecting "Transcoding" and the "Transcoding" sub menu:

Menu flow when selecting the "Transcoding" and the "Tone Mapping" sub menu:

They both land on the same tabbed page with the "Transcoding" tab selected.  What is the purpose of this new sub menu if it takes you to the same page and selected tab.

I think the expected result should be:

• Selecting the "Transcoding" sub menu it should take you to the "Transcoding" page with the "Transcoding" tab selected.
• Selecting the "Tone Mapping" sub menu it should take you to the "Transcoding" page with the "Tone Mapping" tab selected.

This new "Sub Menu" feature was added on Emby Web 26.0.26.
Emby Web 26.0.25 did not have this "Sub Menu" and went directly from "Transcoding" menu item to the "Transcoding" tabbed paged.
