TV Guide - Tune straight to channel from guide rather than present popup for play/record

As per the title, is there any way to tune straight to channel from live tv guide rather than it present the options for play/record, all other apps, plex/channels manages to do this, but emby needs that extra click. Its the same when using the guide whilst already watching tv - changing channel stops the current live tv stream and takes you to the information page of the other chosen show, forcing you to click play again.

If there isnt a way to do this - could I suggest a feature - a toggle to have the option to enable a long press or something instead to bring up the context menu to record if needed? This is only really relevant for live tv.

Using an AppleTV if thats relevant.

The only way to accomplish this at the moment is to use the play button on the remote control then it will skip that extra screen.

Thanks - the play button works as a workaround, but would be great to be able to change the default select behaviour. One more step closer to transition away from Plex and channelsdvr!

I like the way it works now if I want to watch a channel I use the play button if I want to record the news I click the ok button and record etc.. Also I was thinking about the channel tags if you have a subscription for one user you can make up their channels on a tag with their login name on it then do the same for other people use a different subscription with their login name and tag set to their username. This way each user can have there own set of channels tailored to them as long as no one else adds all of the other peoples tags lol.

Maybe down the road have it so you can password the tags keeping people out of ones not for them
