Issues with emby android amazon apps

Both apps of amazon as available in the published amazon store running with new beta server latest published edition 

The older Amazon Fire TV app (still my favourite) is running great on the new server, but the recording feature needs some work. If you click record series in guide It blindly records every episode on every channel, no optuons or way to select otherwise and even when I change the settings in the schedule screen in live tv, the classic Firestick app doesn’t update—I have to go to the web app, live tv, schedule to adjust the settings then they save. Could someone please fix this and make it so the app sgows settings and remembers options for next time please (also the schedule needs fixed as any adjustments made are just ignored by the server)

The newer Android replacement app for Firestick works well with most of the features, issues i have noted so far are, the main TV guide freezes halfway down, forcing me to exit and reopen the screen multiple times just to see all the channels. The mini guide (this is the one you can bring up while watching tv) also has a major bug where it gets stuck on the screen as a ghost image, only way to get rid of this when it locks in place is to press home button on amazon remote, go to settings then apps and force stop the app.  Not ideal when watching a TV programme making the app practically unusable for live TV. I’ve reported this before, so please check my history for the photos and details I previously sent again can the relevant team please look into this.

This is the ghost effect for new android app, to recreate this just bring the mini guide up and scroll randomly round the guide for a while, select a few things but don't play them then attempt to go back to what you was watching and that ghost freezes forever more locking the guide in focus, every button press makes the guide reshow but dismissing just goes back to being a ghost of the overlay

 

Main guide screen on this same app seems to be linked with as you scroll down, it loads more data, if you wait patiently its fine but make the mistake of navigating while that's loading and the new data is not selectable

For the classic fire tv app, there is no options on the record screen, selecting series to record blindly records every episode found of the programme on every channel (so you get replays also on +1 and some programmes show again on another day and you get duplicates of these also just wasting hard disk space for recordings)

 

In schedule screen

you have series settings

but any optons chaned do not apply or save 

just returns the same when you check the options again, these options would be nice on the popup for tv guide where you select to record series and would be amazing if they could actually remember what you selected for next time defaulting the options to your last changes of them.

Are you positive they didn't actually change on the server?

Please try editing those options ONCE and, after saving them, check the server to see if they are correct.  I'm thinking what you are seeing is just the app not getting the updated info from the server quick enough.

OK I will test tonight, is there any way we can set defaults in that app for recordings so the settings just apply when you press record series?

There is no way to adjust the defaults in any of the apps, right?

There is no way I can find, its frustrating as if you live the live TV constantly like I do it means everything you record you then need to go to schedule and adjust the settings instead of just easily pressing record.  A lot of extra work for a simple oversight.

Is someone looking into this ghost guide issue its not the first time I have reported this and nothing has changed

@Jmackay82I've found some problems in the app.  Some changes were made at the server side that the app had not adjusted to.  This should be corrected in the next beta.
