How is playlist runtime calculated?

If I add an item to, or remove an item from, a playlist, the number of items (which is referred to as ”tracks” irrespective of what kind of content is in the playlist) updates immediately, but the runtime of the list doesn't seem to? I'm not sure what triggers that to be recalculated.

Hi, the value is saved in the database, which means it has to get updated. When you add or remove items using the user interface it kicks off a metadata refresh in the background for the playlist.

I removed something hours ago and it still hasn't been reflected in the playlist runtime. It seems to update when I add things, but not when I remove them.
