spiller37 0 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago When using the Windows desktop app I am not able to connect to a locally hosted server on the same subnet. The server is still accessible from the same machine in a web browser. I can't find a location for log files. The location of the application is apparently locked behind a Microsoft Store datastore. I really wish they would just release this as a normal windows application and not require the ridiculous MS store. How can I troubleshoot this connectivity issue?
pwhodges 2100 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The location of the app log files is shown on the About page: Paul
spiller37 0 Posted 58 minutes ago Author Posted 58 minutes ago Thanks for the location information, I would have never found it because the Help/About is not available until inside the application. All I see in the logs is the following error message. I have wiped the data for the application with Windows Settings and manually be deleting the entire Emby folder in AppData\Local\Packages. After a complete wipe the application will scan and automatically find and add the Emby server on my network, but still can't connect. 2026-09-14 08:32:24.810 Info WebView: Event fired: IConnectionManager_10.credentialsupdated 2026-09-14 08:32:24.810 Error WebView: Failed to connect to any server address.
