David Patt 21 Posted yesterday at 03:30 AM Posted yesterday at 03:30 AM SO i have few external hdd with media. Five months ago some movies and tv shows start show 0 kb in size. Ok hdd get corrupted it happens. After that i just dont have time or energy to rebuild emby server so i did this last week( on new hdd). Put few movies and tv shows to emby and few days later again. 0 kb in size. I format hdd, delete Emby. Now in like four days everything is fine. And i copy , move TB of data. I dont suspect Emby of anything. But it happen on two different hdd and on two different pc (i buy new in the meantime). Now i am scared even install new instance of Emby or any media server. So what you think ? Its coincidence or i have something very wrong in my setup or software ?
ebr 16703 Posted yesterday at 02:06 PM Posted yesterday at 02:06 PM Hi. Emby does not modify your media files.
Uncle_Frank 8 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Malware, even formatted drives won't help you just keep passing it back to the drives when you plug them in. Clean your main pc most likely the 0KB virus which running malwarebytes should be enough to get you back on the right path.

Uncle_Frank 8 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago This actually is very common usually from torrents even news groups for example see the one from DRbanner 9.8KiB if you were to make a mistake not paying attention that's how you get 0KB on a pc. Not hard to get yourself in a pickle this day and age but the bad thing is all your data is now gone maybe try Ubuntu very easy to use most people love Nas for this very reason. Take care!
