Indycars 2 Posted Wednesday at 02:48 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:48 PM (edited) Sometimes the playback will stop for 10-20 seconds or it just freezes completely. And sometimes it crashes Emby, meaning it returns to the home screen. This morning about 8:40 am CST it froze three times in different places while playing GMA. We started watching from the beginning and while it was still recording GMA. I upgraded the QNAP server software a few days ago to version 4.9.5.0, this made no change. Luke 43088 Posted Wednesday at 07:41 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:41 PM Hi, this is playing on Samsung ?
Indycars 2 Posted Wednesday at 10:18 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 10:18 PM Yes it's playing on a Samsung TV (S95B 65 Inch QD OLED) from a dedicated computer running Windows 10. I also have a Roku connected, so I have Emby on both. This setup has been running for a couple of years now. My problem has been happening the last 5-6 months and has recently gotten worse. .
I Love to try new things 1 Posted 30 minutes ago Posted 30 minutes ago I am having the same issue but with live tv with ALL channels and on 3 different TVs. This started after the update to 4.10.40 that happened 9/10/2026. Each station will play for anywhere from 5 seconds to 60 seconds (estimated) and then either the picture will freeze and the audio continues or both picture and audio both will freeze (all channels). Emby is running on an Ubuntu 26.04 server. Restarted the server several times but no differenceI. restarted the TV tuner several times keeping power off for 60 seconds or so but no difference. I reloaded the TV channels on Emby but no difference. I reloaded the TV tuner (Homerun) and no difference. I plan on reinstalling the previous version of Emby and see what happens. Will update this after the fallback to an earlier version of Emby. I did connect my antenna directly to a TV and all is good so not the antenna, cables or the broadcasters.
