library no longer appears in Continue Watching after upgrading to Emby 4.10.0.40

I’m seeing a change in Continue Watching behavior after moving to Emby 4.10. I have a second TV Shows library named Recorded TV that no longer appears in Continue Watching.

I tested this further with a completely fresh Emby install, and partially watched videos from that library still do not appear in Continue Watching.

Was this behavior intentionally changed in 4.10? The library is selected from home screen continue watching library setting.

HI, this wasn't intentional. can you check how your emby user home screen settings are set?

They are set correctly. The reason they don't show up is that they are not in season folders. I tested this by placing one of the recordings in a season folder, and it then appeared in Continue Watching.

I have just tested playback of a TV recording episode on 4.10.0.40 and the recording does not have a season folder. I stopped playback part way and it did show in Continue Watching after this

So will need to have a look an example with log provided for when you do that and then afterwars go to the Home page and refresh and look at continue watching - are there a lot of items in Continue Watching ?

Please give details of the episode you playback for the test and also give details of the Home Section configuration (User Prefereneces / Home Screen / Contine Watching edit screen - showing library selection etc)

Thanks

Hi.  Perhaps you are talking about the "Next Up" episode part of Continue Watching?  If so, be sure the episodes have proper season/episode numbers.

I’ll get some more details when I get a chance.

When I add only one TV library containing my recordings, partially watched shows appear correctly in Continue Watching. These recordings are not organized into season folders.

The issue starts when I add a second TV show library. Once that library is added, the recordings from the first library stop appearing in Continue Watching. The shows in the second library are organized into season folders.

This setup worked fine before Emby 4.10.

I just disabled “Include Next Up Episode,” and all of the partially watched shows immediately appeared in Continue Watching. When I enable that option again, they disappear.

Is this the intended behavior?

Thank you for the confirmation. It appears that time based episodes recordings (ie without season and episode numbers) get excluded in Continue Watching when the "include next up episodes" is ticked. I have reproduced it and referred it to the development team

I think it is wrong - becase the "include next up episodes" should be additonal to what would be a candidate for Continue Watching
