Landoman 24 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Emby Version 4.9.5.0 When recording a radio program it is using the original AIR DATE and not the episode date for the recording. This means its been overwriting all shows. Original air date: 14 May 2018 2018-05-14 - 1.ts <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <episodedetails> <aired>2018-05-14</aired> <dateadded>2026-09-07 13:00:05</dateadded> <year>2018</year> <plot></plot> <genre>Talk</genre> <genre>Game Show</genre> </episodedetails> Edited 20 hours ago by Landoman
ebr 16676 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Hi. Without any other information such as an episode number, the original air date would identify the episode. Therefore, the same date would be the same episode...
Landoman 24 Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Shouldn't emby default to using the air date if no episode date? I see that emby has, for some reason, set the air date to the start series date. Every single episode has the same air date. Edited 20 hours ago by Landoman
Landoman 24 Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago I have now checked other series. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <episodedetails> <title>The Pursuit</title> <aired>1981-01-01</aired> <episode>5</episode> <season>9</season> <dateadded>2026-09-08 14:56:23</dateadded> <year>1981</year> <mpaa>TV-G</mpaa> <plot>Jim-Bob, home on furlough, meets an old girlfriend (Jennifer Jason Leigh) claiming to be carrying his baby; Ben defies his captors.</plot> <genre>Drama</genre> <genre>Romance</genre> </episodedetails> Is there a reason there is no episode/other data for a radio program?

Landoman 24 Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago (edited) I just recorded the same show with Windows media centre and it worked fine with the full name of the show. name of show + air date. I do not know why emby is not picking this up. It is the same tuner. The air date is incorrect for some reason. Emby = Matt and Mollie 2018-05-14 - 1 WMC = Matt and Mollie_BBC Radio 1_2026_09_08_12_58_00 <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <episodedetails> <aired>2018-05-14</aired> <dateadded>2026-09-07 13:00:05</dateadded> <year>2018</year> <plot></plot> <genre>Talk</genre> <genre>Game Show</genre> </episodedetails> Edited 20 hours ago by Landoman
ebr 16676 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Hi. Your screen shot shows it as a repeat and with the same original air date as we did...
Luke 43044 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Not picking what up? What are you defining as working fine
Landoman 24 Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Ok there is obviously some communication issue here. The screen shot shows a series which is being recorded. Why it says repeat I have no idea. This shows the air date as 14 may 2018. It isnt.Teh air date is 8 Sep 13:00-15:30 BBC radio 1, channel 700. Emby = Matt and Mollie 2018-05-14 - 1 WMC = Matt and Mollie_BBC Radio 1_2026_09_08_12_58_00 Windows media centre records the same show as Matt and Mollie_BBC Radio 1_2026_09_08_12_58_00 Why is it showing repeat in emby? Why does it not save the name and episode date correctly? If WMC gets the correct data is there something wrong with how emby is getting the listing data? or is there something wrong with the show data? I have just tested this with another radio show. Same thing happens JK and Kelly Brook 2019-01-07 Margherita Taylor 2014-06-02 <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <tvshow> <uniqueid type="gracenote">16432217</uniqueid> <uniqueid type="zap2it">SH03137681</uniqueid> <title>JK and Kelly Brook</title> </tvshow> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <tvshow> <uniqueid type="gracenote">10819666</uniqueid> <uniqueid type="zap2it">SH01932743</uniqueid> <title>Margherita Taylor</title> </tvshow> Edited 18 hours ago by Landoman
Luke 43044 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago @sa2000can report it to our guide data provider. 1
Landoman 24 Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago It seems the guide data is incorrect for all radio shows 1
Landoman 24 Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago (edited) I just changed the guide data from to and it works on now. Going Home with Vick, Katie and Jamie on Radio 1 2026-02-17 - Can You Complete the Hardest Quiz on the Radio Unfortunately all the other channels are wrong. Ill delete and re install the tuner and see what happens. Edited 18 hours ago by Landoman

Landoman 24 Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago (edited) After reinstalling tuner, guide data, changing providers and so on, it is related to some Radio radio channels. Changing to completely different postcode makes no difference. Other radio channels work. Some radio channels work, others do not. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <tvshow> <uniqueid type="gracenote">10124408</uniqueid> <uniqueid type="zap2it">SH01776503</uniqueid> <title>Pre-match</title> </tvshow> Edited 16 hours ago by Landoman
Landoman 24 Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago I should point out its only emby that is recording with the wrong data on some radio channels not windows media centre.

Is this using channel 700 in Local Over the Air Broadcast (OTA) and channel 181 in United Kingdom (extended) National Virtual ? These are the channel numbers in the two lineups for BBC Radio 1
