Has M3U recording reliability improved recently?

Has anything changed recently with recording directly from an M3U playlist in Emby Server 4.9.5?

When I tried this in the past, I had failed recordings, so I switched to using Tvheadend as the feed, which worked well. Recently, I’ve been recording directly from the M3U playlist again without any issues. Recordings even resume if I interrupt them by restarting the server.

Were there any fixes or improvements in recent updates that might explain the difference? I have not tried using it in a while.
