IOS emby server offline - not loading download content

I downloaded an audiobook from my emby server to listen to on my iphone. I have my server connected to a UPS that powers it down every night at midnight and powers it backup at 8am (no need wasting power if no one is using it) however i happened to be on my way to work earlier and tried to listen to my audiobook and cant. When i open emby on my iphone it tried to connect to the server and stays like that for a long time. Eventually like well over 3 minutes or so it goes offline and i can access the downloaded content. Is there a way to change the timer to a shorter duration?

It shouldn't take 3 minutes. It's more like 30 seconds. But did you try clicking cancel?

Yes and nothing happened

Testing it again

when i click cancel i am just left with the Emby logo in the middle of the screen and nothing happens, left it for 10minutes before closing the app.

If i don't hit cancel it took 7minutes before the select server option came up

Im having the same issue my internet went down and could not get to my downloads folder. IOS wont get pass the splash screen waited for over 10 minutes. iOS App version 2.2.56
