York607 0 Posted yesterday at 08:31 AM Posted yesterday at 08:31 AM I just started using Emby earlier this month. I have a server set up with multiple users, and I recently noticed that the app will not download anything over cellular data. I am running an iPhone 17 with the most recent version of Emby for iOS and my close friend is using a S25 Ultra running the most recent version of Emby for Android. Both devices have the download over Wi-Fi only button unchecked. When initiating a download the server puts it in a “Ready to Transfer” status where it continues to sit as the app will not pull it unless you are connected to Wi-Fi. From checking the logs it appears to go down the file path and then cannot see the movie file on cellular, but as soon as I turn on WiFi only and enable WiFi on my phone it begins to download. Attached will be logs from my iPhone where I attempted to download the movie Alien from my local server. emby_ios_1786866590956.563.txt

Luke 42891 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Hi, it's possible you might have to plug it in and/or the battery has to be pretty well charged. Please try those things and see if it helps.
York607 0 Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago (edited) @LukeI tried again plugged in and at 90% battery and it’s giving me the same result. I'm using the windows server app for my server and have port forwarding turned on in my router settings for port 8096. Pretty much everything is setup in its default configuration on the server side since everything just worked right away. Outside of the default windows firewall there is no additional antivirus that could be blocking a connection that I am aware of. I am attaching logs from my windows server as well as from the iOS app. embyserver.txt emby_ios_1786921520860.6638.txt Edited 19 hours ago by York607 logs
York607 0 Posted 42 minutes ago Author Posted 42 minutes ago I tried a wide variety of things that I found on the website last night. My connection is now set to private with all of the boxes for media sharing enabled. I have also enabled Emby through both public and private connections to my firewall. I manually went into my firewall settings and opened up ports 8096, 8920, and 7359 even though there’s already 2 rule’s for all ports to be open for the embyserver.exe program(TCP,UDP). Additionally I removed my port forwarding in my router settings and turned on upnp and have auto port mapping enabled in Emby again and am now able to connect without a port forward. After having restarted my pc and server multiple times with all these changes I did not see any change with my mobile download issues.
