antilog17 0 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Hey, I'm bringing this up again as I've hit it and I think this is really unfixable without a code fix. (Luke has mentioned this before). I've gone through the exercise of moving all my TV Shows to an unreferenced folder, refreshing library files. Vacuuming the database upon each reboot (except the one where I shutdown, deleted the cache files, and then manually started up again). I've scanned files, rescanned metadata folder, completely removed the empty TV Show library (there is no library of type TV show), redid all the things (scan, vacuum, delete cache), even uninstalled Auto-Organize, re-installed Auto-Organize. There are still series showing up in the Auto-Organize list. This with no TV Show library on my server, multiple scans and refreshes and vacuums. At this point, I don't know what other step I can take to resolve the issue.
Luke 42885 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Hi, you're saying we had a discussion about this in the past?

No no, sorry, I can see how you've reached that conclusion. I meant that this exact issue has been brought up before in other threads over the years. The most definitive thing I recall from those threads was you saying it shouldn't happen in the future (which given the series that showed in the list, is entirely plausible). I know the only tentative way is simply delete the whole database and reload from scratch. I was kind of hoping there may be some code mechanism to resolve this (I am a programmer myself, but I know this isn't open source...). In the meantime, I'll look into ways to preserve watch history in case I just have to delete the DB and reload from scratch. Question, would restoring an Emby Backup also restore the bad DB entries? Below are some URLs to the other threads discussing this exact issue: https://emby.media/community/topic/36602-duplicate-auto-organize-tv-series/ https://emby.media/community/topic/117445-auto-organize-how-can-i-remove-duplicated-items/ https://emby.media/community/topic/70774-auto-organize-issues/
Luke 42885 Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago Quote I was kind of hoping there may be some code mechanism to resolve this hi, unfortunately there isn't. The reason I was asking about previous discussion is because I would just be repeating the same responses if we were to go through it all again.
