User switching?

Is there an easier way to switch users than having to go into the settings, then the add-ons, then navigating to EmbyCon, then finding the right settings page...?

As I posted in the General section I'd love to set it up so that a specific user logging in on my Shield automatically logged them on in EmbyCon on my UGOOS AM6B+, but even an easier way of switching user when flicking over to the UGOOS would be good.

I use the UGOOS for HDR and 3D, and the Shield for everything else. I have an automation set up in Home Assistant that checks on playback start if a movie is either of those things, and if so it stops playback and shifts my AVR over to the UGOOS input. I then have a ”Recently Watched” list on my home screen, and the movie I just started is at the top of the list.

Problem is, this breaks if someone else logs into Emby on the Shield via their account, and then tries to watch something that's either 3D or HDR, because a) it doesn't show up in the Recently Watched list and b) they'd end up using my account to watch it if they were to navigate to it manually. And expecting them to go through the ridiculously convoluted user-switching process in EmbyCon is a non-starter.

the switch user action is available in the add-on menus under Add-on actions, you can map this to an action in a customizable home screen skin that supports that.
there is also a user list in the same addon-actions that list user and if you select one it switches to that user, again map this to a dynamic view on the home page of a skin that supports that sort of thing.

What's the actual difference between those two options?

Is there any way I could either use Home Assistant to auto-switch user when they log in on my Shield, or have the switch user dialog come up whenever I switch to the UGOOS?
