Plugin: Ginjaninja Tools - Consistent Season Images - Help to ensure all images are part of the same set

Purpose and Function

• For people who cant sleep if their metadata isnt right.
• speed up applying artwork (posters and banners) from the same set across all seasons.
• Notify Admins (Live and Dashboard) if season images found on providers but not local.
• Multiple compare columns if high quantity is making it hard to find the consistent style available for every season.

Getting Started

• Watch video.
• Choose a filter ((S) means include shows with missing specials.), Choose a show. Build out 1 or more comparison sets and then apply the winning set. Or just apply individual images.

 Disclaimers

• Vibe coded with AI, backup before 1st use, until tested. (All season images posters and banners for 1 tv show can be targetted for replacement at the same time- 'fairly benign'). I am running on live.

• Added numerical indicator on ignored qty.
• Added busy indicator on saving.
• Added show image preview on hover.

• Added a notification for Admins if images found on provider when missing on emby. (All|Posters|Banners) (cached with staggered expiry).
• Added availability (available on provider, missing on Emby) filter to UI  (respects the layout All|Poster|Banners).
• Added an ignore flag for series you dont want to clutter the ui (because you know they are lost causes).
• More promiscuous in allowing cross season drag and drop with green/amber/red warning.
• Drag directly on to current placeholder to update emby (an alternative to apply) (blue)

• Issues and Suggestions Welcome.
• Let me know how you get on, is there anyone else out there with a "problem".

Roadmap

• I wonder if AI can find consistent sets for you. Please get in touch if you have experience of how to approach that.

Other Info

• Plugin stores cache in \programdata\cache\consistent-tv-season-images\ (good to know if you want to reset/uninstall)

@GrimReaperWe were on a cruise with two stops in Dubrovnik and Split. Neither of these were on my wife's or my bucket list for world adventures but we definitely will return someday!

 

Back to our normally scheduled programing.

This was last fall so the weather was fantastic! Right now in SoCal USA it's been north of 100F/38C for two weeks straight.
