Merge all movie folders into a single library

I am new to Emby, so apologies in advance. I am considering a PLEX to Emby move, but am having difficulties setting up libraries. In PLEX, I simply create a library type (e.g., Movies, TV, etc) and add any folders containing movies. PLEX then show them combined into the single library "Movies". When I try to do this in Emby, I end up with a dozen different "Movie" libraries - not what I want. I have at least 15 different Movie folders scattered across multiple hard drives.  Is there no way to add folders into a single library, as in PLEX? If not, this is a non-starter for me. The same would be true for any other library types, such as TV Shows, Concerts, etc.  Any help will be appreciated.  And yes, I have spent hours reading through Emby documentation, forum posts, and general googling. To no avail.

Yes you can add multiple folders to the same library. Can you show your library configuration?

Not sure what you mean by library configuration. Also, if it makes a difference, I am using the free version of Emby, before making a purchase decision. Thanks

Go to your libraries and add the second drive / folder to that library.

Neminem - Thank you very much. Will proceed with library build out. Will also need to find out if there is a plugin or procedure for automatically migrating PLEX metadata to Emby, so I don't have to start from scratch. Thanks again. Sven901

I'm not aware of any specific way to transfer data.  In Emby, if you select the options (not default) to store metadata and images alongside the media, a new Emby install can pick them up, but without nfo and image files it will always go out to the metadata providers.  Maybe if Plex can arrange its metadata that way you might get somewhere?

Note that as Plex and Emby are differently coded, not all media filename formats recognised by one will necessarily be parsed correctly by the other.  If your filenames fall outside Emby's specifications, the results may not be so good, even if Plex happens to handle them.
