How to make a plugin work on a client

If an admin is logged on at a client eg Android. Why is it some plugins are accessible to the admin? If my plugin implements baseplugin<t>  and IHASUIPAGES can it work on clients somehow. I see the autoorganise plugin works on clients but dont see anything special on its page declarations to make it work.

Hi, the apps have a whitest of which ones they’ll accept. It’s a tight curated list to keep our apps compliant with store policies.

WOuld it be possible, that if the android device is in "developer mode" then it would show all?

If our app gets pulled from the store, I don't think google would accept the explanation that our users were running in developer mode.

Hi @Luke
Im writing a "reccomend me" user plugin (users can reccomend media items to other family members). The feedback i got from the family on my "manage coming soon" plugin (submit media requests) was its all well and good but "we dont use computers [to access emby] we use tablets and tvs". So the pick up has been lower. Do you think there could be some sort of conformance policy, that plugin writers could adhere to and submit their plugin for approval?

Not sure if you've tried submitting anything to one of the app stores yet but if you knew what we have to deal with to get validated with them you would understand.

For instance.  The TV app has been rejected for "inappropriate content" multiple times.

Our app has no content and no matter how many times we try to explain that it only shows the content it is pointed at (like a browser) they still don't get it.

So, that is just to say there is no logical set of rules we could put in place that would guarantee that we wouldn't run into approval issues and we waste way too much time already trying to move through their validation maze.  Anything that looks like sharing of information or even downloading stuff in some cases gets rejected routinely.  We simply cannot take the chance.

One possibility, could the plugins themselves be put on the store?  Meaning, it would be up to the plugin developer to get it through the store requirements?

I know I have seen plugins on the android store, but they were "android apps" in themselves, not DLLs to be place in another apps directory.

Just a thought.
