groovejumper 8 Posted yesterday at 11:15 PM Posted yesterday at 11:15 PM My server runs in docker on Unraid, version 4.9.5.0. Android TV version on my Sony A90J. For years, it's happily played everything I've thrown at it, since the update in the last week or so, not so much. Just a black screen, and the back button on the remote doesn't go back to the Emby home screen, I have to click Home to go back to the TV's home screen, but restarting the app doesn't work (black screen no emby home screen), force stop, clear data, the whole 9 yards, nothing works. After rebooting the TV, I can get back in to the app, but nothing plays. The Android app works. But I'm not a fan of it, the Android TV app, though older, is a lot more elegant, better UI and UX in almost every way (other than that it doesn't work anymore). I can grab and attach server log files if you want, but there's nothing there. No new ffmpeg log, and embyserver only has these entries after hitting play: 2026-07-28 18:55:22.813 Info MediaInfoService-0HNNCFNHC5MDF:00000006: http/1.1 POST http://192.168.50.222:8096/emby/Items/901564/PlaybackInfo?format=json. Anything I can try to get the Android TV app working again?
Luke 42806 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
ebr 16546 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Hi. Is the video AV1? There is an update to the app hung up in Google review that would fix that or you could side load it from the beta section out here.
groovejumper 8 Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago welp, sorry for the fire drill I'm not sure how this happened but today all seems good again. PS: I love what you guys do, hopefully the Android TV app doesn't go away...
