[BUG] Unable to pass subtitles to third-party players (such as MX Player)

Hello, I previously submitted a feature request for the Emby Universal App [Feature Request] Support for passing subtitles to third-party players,

and you implemented it—thank you very much.

 

Of course, there was a minor bug in that feature, [BUG] MX Player's subtitle selection won't follow Emby's choice (When movie has other embedded sub)

which you also fixed—thank you very much!

 

However, I noticed that Emby for Android TV 2.1.51g doesn’t have this feature.

As shown in the video, when I open a movie that has external subtitles using MX Player, I find that there are no external subtitles at all.

 

Please fix this bug. Thank you.

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Hello, @Lukethe Emby Universal App is working fine:

1. Emby Universal App can pass external subtitles to MX Player.

2. MX Player automatically selected the external subtitles based on Emby's subtitle selection.

Hi.  At this time, if you require this feature you will need to use the standard app.

Why do you wish to use the external player in the first place?
