Nuitarius 22 Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM (edited) Hi there guys, I am having some issues with a specific title. Transformers One (4K). What I see: I play the movie, after a few seconds it stops the playback and buffers and then resumes. This is done on repeat. The "Stats for nerds" is saying that it is reducing the bitrate due the quality. Playback without transcoding works fine. Usually I do not have challenges with playback but at least on this title i am. My GFX seems to be detected properly, so I am assuming the issues is something else. Could you guys look into my logs and let me know if there is something I should be doing differently? I believe there should be several instances of me trying to doing playback of it here, and I can se at 15:58 at least a playback that had some error. Luke 42778 Posted yesterday at 07:23 PM Posted yesterday at 07:23 PM Hi, can you try remuxing a new version of this file using mkvtoolnix and see how that compares? Thanks.

Hi Luke, I normally do not remux. I just use makemkv to rip at full quality. I have done it on rare titles that has more than one disc that I want to merge, but otherwise I never use it. I can also re-rip it if you think this will help? Do you believe that a remux will tell you something about what is wrong or why do you want me to try this?
Luke 42778 Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago Quote I can also re-rip it if you think this will help? No I think it will just produce the same result. Quote Do you believe that a remux will tell you something about what is wrong or why do you want me to try this? It's worth trying. If the remuxed version plays then most likely there's something wrong with the headers in the original file. If you test this then make sure to run a library scan after updating the file. In other words, don't just update the file and then try to play because the server will be doing that based on outdated media information.
