Trakt plugin unable to Get PIN

BTW, I use for quite a while Yamtrack as selfhosted backup for Trakt. For the time being, it becomes my master now.

I'm just seeing version 3.8.6 which the release notes show as enabling better logging

I can also report having this issue on both my servers. Same error as reported on previous messages, where I get a blank screen when trying it on Windows with either Firefox or Edge.

If trying on my Android phone with Firefox, it tries to open an unrelated app, for some reason (Focusreader).

If trying on my iPad, Safari reports that doesn't know how to open the link.

@LukeI think this may be related to some staged rollout, and that may be why yours were not affected on Monday. Mine started yesterday afternoon, and hasn't worked since when trying to reauthorize. Please give it a test again soon.

It took me about an hour to fix the Trakt plugin, so it shouldn't take the Emby team long to figure it out.

Yeah you would think so. I had to go to a 3rd party player in order to get Trakt to work for now until Emby figures it out.

Trakt support reports: Apparently, the problem lies in the fact that Emby is still using an outdated authentication method that has not been supported for some time. Since PIN codes are no longer required, a change needs to be made so that users can log in again.

That explanation was shared 3 days ago in a direct quote from trakt devs. Emby needs to update the plugin. "It works on my machine" and "we'll have to keep an eye on it" are not acceptable responses at this point.

It works through notifications. Not as flexible as the Trakt thing but pretty reliable.

Same issue, cost me about 1 hour trying to fix my browsers and network and etc., finally realized it's an emby issue.
