Thanks though, was worth a try.

I do love the seerr integration, for the family to be able to add things on their own is great but I need the apps to be stable and just work.

One other thing @bingbong69_, with the home screen slideshow that shows 10 random movies / shows. Is there anywhere where we can control what shows in here. ie - only unwatched items or only movies etc...

Been playing around with this on multiple devices tonight

iPhone (iOS) - No issue so far. Everything looks clean and direct plays just fine.

Shield - Like above no issues.

LG TV - Only encountered the Top banner bug, aside from that seems ok.

Apple TV 4k - UI is really nice BUT barely anything direct plays. Everything is transcoding when they direct play just fine in the native emby app. @bingbong69_are there any known issues where Apple TV is not direct playing?

I'm using the AppleTV Moonfin client on Emby and it's more stable than the Emby client with one exception -- it does not playback live TV via HDHomerun devices.  LiveTV from other M3U sources such as the FrndlyTV work fine.

Hi, I've been using Moonfin and it works very well, almost as well as or better than the original Emby version, but I'm having a problem with the games, haha. I still can't get them to work. Is there a tutorial for beginners? Also, in the TV Live section, I'd like a search function or a way to see the channels like in the regular version, instead of just a list, since sometimes there are too many channels in an M3U file and it's tedious to find the last one. Everything else I've tested works excellently. I've tested it on Android TV, Xiaomi Chromecast 4 and Q96, as well as a Roku, and it works very well.

Just to say thanks.

Apple TV update has fixed a number of issues.

Libararies are now showing correctly.

Direct play is now wokring on movies instead of transcoding.

One thing I noticed about Moonfin is that it doesn't seem to show subtitles on LiveTV.   This seemed to be true on both Emby and Jellyfin.

Just added to my PC and Fire TV and really like it so far. Thanks and nice job so far.

 

EDIT:

 

Two things I ran across so far. On the Fire TV app I was able to show all my libraries, but can seem to to that as the default screen on first launch of Moonfin. The other is it would be nice to have search pretty much everywhere, or at least a key combo to bring it up no mater where one is in the app.

This new dev. has posted this from a Zero Post Emby Account.

It might be leaching your data.

It comes with a plugin, and that could give away sensitive info about you setup.

It might leach login credentials / IP adresses + what ever metadata to sell.

 

I would strongly advice about NOT using this.

@Neminem just to play Devil's advocate, your concerns are valid, but the app is open source on GitHub. You could copy it, open it in VSCode and ask Claude Opus 4.8 to check for anything you're concerned about. The project has over 50+ contributors so far which is also not trivial.
