yocker 1724 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Yes, it's time to complain about the quality setting again. Users on my server consists mostly of elderly family members who have no idea how to work things. I've tried to explain to them how to quality setting work but now a couple of them (feels like a way to spite me) have set it at the very lowest quality and are complaining about it looking very bad. There is absolutely no way i can explain to them (they are 80+) and visiting them is out of the question as i don't own any transportation. So a way to remotely set their quality would be absolutely awesome and.. NEEDED! 1
Luke 42736 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Hi, you can just tell them to leave it on auto and set their auto quality value.
seanbuff 1382 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago @yockerthis new server feature was added a while back, but it is still unclear which client apps have support for it. @Lukecan you please confirm which client apps are yet to support this feature? The only ones I can see from release notes are the Android TV and Apple TV app, back in Dec 2025 Quote 2.1.30 (16 Dec) Respect new server bitrate setting Quote Apple TV 2.0.3 (17 Dec) Support new auto remote quality option in 4.9.2 server Need confirmation on client apps like: Apple iOS Standard Android Samsung TV LG TV Windows / Xbox
Luke 42736 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago All of those except for Samsung and LG. Those users are still in the store review process. 1

I do love the new feature though!!

When this control was first requested, it was hoped that it would perform as a complete 'override' regardless of what was set at the client end. Unfortunately it ended up working specifically for those still set at "Auto" @Lukeany chance we can still expand the feature to override more than just Auto?
