Issues with devices connecting to Emby Sever

Hi All,

As of  Sunday afternoon, I have not been able to connect to my Emby server with any of my tv's or mobile devices, which is my main pc in the house. It works fine on my PC and I have not changed anything before the connection issues. I recently changed my router and all was working very well with no connection issues until my wife tried to watch something on our tv thru Emby on Sunday afternoon. We watched a tv show absolutely fine at about 2am (UK Time) Sunday morning after returning from the football. I have tried everything from reinstalling the app on all devices and PC, checked that the port forwarding, all fine and still wont connect. I can see the server on the other devices and every time I try to connect to it, it just comes up with the "We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again" phrase. I can assure you that the sever is very much on and running. I am at my wits end now as it was all working perfectly and all of a sudden it just doesn't want to work, where nothing has changed since we last watched something. Any help will be very much appreciated, please keep it simple as I'm not a real wiz with all the technical stuff.

Many thanks

I am assuming that you have a basic network configured within the house.  Your emby system and TV's are on the same subnet?  You don't have your TV's/phones on some guest network?

Yes, they are and have been all connected to the same network. As I said I did change the router last week and everything was working fine, managed to watch films on all the other tv's and tablets. I t was only on Sunday afternoon that it stopped working.

For grins...  I had this issue once but it did go away...

Go to your server settings -> Network, and enter your server's IP address in the "Local IP address" box.

Is your "LAN networks" blank within the Network settings?

Yep, tried the IP in Local IP address, still no luck

You said your mobile devices stopped working as well.... What if you hit your server with a web browser instead of the app?

I seem to have managed to get it working. For some reason Internet access control planning was turned off in my router on all devices. I have turned them all on and it is now working.
