Moving cover art to prevent burn in

Recommended Posts

The cover art displays on my TV during music playback never seem to move, therefore I am concerned about potential burn in.  Is there a tool or plug in to bounce the cover art around the screen to prevent this?

Hi, but it changes with each song, right?

Yes, but each image is about the same size and in the same location on the screen.  So, while a specific cover art is only diplayed for 3 or 4 minutes, that area of the screen is filled with a display for the entire time the playlist is running.

Hi!

I have no idea what setup is, but im assuming you have client on LG and server somewhere else?

Im thinking screensaver..

If im not mistaken its the same as for all other media, you could choose to have display cover-art from your music library as screensaver, set it on some timeframe of your choosing..

The Emby app is running on a Roku Ultra connected to the TV.

Hi!

Well, i run my Emby server on a Win 11 PC and i got backrops as metadata for my screensaver and it pops up on my clients, in this case an Nvidia Shield and a ZTE 4K Stick.

I havent any experience with any kind of Roku device but when looking at the specs i dont see any reason why it wouldnt work.

My settings, in Swedish, but im sure you get the picture:)

And you also have other third-party screensavers for Android like Gfolio and others that will let music keep playing in the background

Cheers mate!

I cannot imagine this causing burn-in, but yes we can add options to control it.
