flashls82 5 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I've noticed a few times recently where even after I exit a live TV stream on the Roku app (normal exit, not a crash or anything), the stream keeps going -- I use HLS Proxy for buffering and I can see it still feeding things in an active connection to the Emby server for more than an hour after I've exited the Roku app. I haven't noticed this happening via the web interface or iOS apps. Server admin console does not show the stream playing. I can share logs but there is nothing obvious I see in there since this is really the absence of something happening (closing the stream). Sharing in case this is a bug worth looking at vs. anything idiosyncratic with my setup.
Luke 42682 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
pwhodges 2073 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago By "normal exit" do you mean specifically the exit command in the Emby app, or do you include the common Roku method of simply pressing the home button? This matters, because in the Roku the home button is in fact a crash button - the currently running app is stopped dead without any opportunity even to log the happening, let alone report it to the server, which makes cleaning up more difficult. Paul I mean hitting stop/back in Roku where the result is I'm taken back to the Emby app, not the home screen.
