No more read status on medias

Hi

Am I the only one with that problem ? Since 1/2 weeks all my android players (whatever it's on Android TV, or my cell or phone running Emby Android app), it doesn't update anymore server about read status and progress (whatever I manually put a media as read or because I have read it till the end). It looks to coincide with my upgrade of server to 4.9.5.0

Something also related is that everything that is played with Android Player doesn't show up anymore in Now Playing in the admin dashboard of Emby neither in Activity (only identification shows up).

I'll be happy to share logs if needed in few days once back home.

Please have a look at log file I sent you by DM. Device used for test: MI PAD 4 PLUS and reading a show named: Are you human ?

Also if I try to flag a media as read by holding on the cover art of the media instead of using the tick button on the media page i get that error:

What time was this? The log you sent is large and contains activity from a lot of clients, so things are a little hard to find. Thanks.

It's not in the original log file I sent earlier. I just captured it now and I send you the logs by dm. At 06:15pm I tried to mark as read the show "A time called you" from device Kingkong X pro, then I tried at 06:16pm I tried to restart the server which failed too (that bug showed up same time as the problem of read/unread/progress status not working) and then after that I tried to mark as read the same show by holding on the cover art in list (it's when I get the file missing error).

Your reverse proxy is changing posts to gets:

If not a reverse proxy then I'll be more generalized: Something in between the client device and your emby server is changing the request from a POST to a GET. 

It's usually a reverse proxy, but could also be an http to https redirect, or anything that might be redirecting.

yeah but there is nothing in between, the emby server is exposed via its public ip address that is the public ip address of the server it's running on. Here are my network settings in case something would be wrong:

you can say that, http and https are activated but I forced the https for remote and there are only remote connections on it. The http port is blocked by firewall.

Hum interesting and weirdo, while doing some checks on the server running Emby, I discovered that the fw was off and so I reactivated it and now problem of read/unread not updating has disappeared instantly. It looks like if the http port is reachable the android app is not able to push these updates.... very very strange
