ShemyX 0 Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) Im VERY new to Emby and this kind of technology in general. I was messing with some settings in the Emby windows app and i accidently put some ip address somewhere it didn t belong (settings server First line don't remember what the line was called) and now i cant access Emby at all. I keep getting a forbidden error. Ive looked up online on how to fix but everything YouTube or google has said to try doesn't work.. At first I thought it might have been my Ugreen Nas blocking access, so i did a factory reset on it. Nope. Didn't fix the issue. Ive tried every browser I have, and the same error. Ive tried everything I can think of to fix this, but I'm at my wits end, and I'm starting to think buying Emby was a huge mistake. Any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated. ive tried for months now and no luck. Edited June 30 by ShemyX

Luke 42710 Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Hi, are you trying to connect to your own Emby Server, or someone else's server?

If on your local network and your server, then you can just delete nightcrawler and let the app rediscover. I have never had it not automatically discover my server on my lan... wow double negative there. Unless your Ugreen is now doing some creative firewalling thingy now.... that would be beyond me as I don't use it so I don't know. Edited July 1 by js28194
ShemyX 0 Posted July 4 Author Posted July 4 Installed the Emby server on my pc, but then used Docker container for Emby.. Ive tried deleting Nightcrawler still says forbidden. I did a factory reset on The UGreen NAS and still forbidden.
Luke 42710 Posted Monday at 04:38 PM Posted Monday at 04:38 PM Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
ShemyX 0 Posted 50 minutes ago Author Posted 50 minutes ago The Emby server log was erased when I uninstalled and reinstalled the server... I know exactly what I did.. On the posted picture(I found this picture on google, its not from my Emby, just posting pic to show what I did) I put a ip address in the first row that says Lan networks.(where it should have been kept empty) What I was trying to do was use my dedicated Ip address that I have from a VPN, to try to access Emby outside of my home address..
