Custom library images dissapearing

Hi!

I have custom library images made for the "front wiev" in regards to the librarys and also one of the librarys wich is my collection folder.

I change them on my win 11 server manually, and those are then visual on all my apps (Android Universal) on my phone and Nvidia Shield aswell as Android TV app on the same shield like so:

 

But it changes back to:

 

I have disabled all fetching of metadata in the library settings on my server but this still happens. I seem to recall that there was a setting to "show library folders as a picture" but i cant seem to find it and disable it if that was the solution.

 

This is also applied to my collections from my collection folder (Filmsamlingar in front-wiev librarys) from:

I havent been able to figure out why this occurs and when, i have tried to pinpoint when it happens by running manual metadata scans and library updates and that doesnt break it so im all out of clues, any help would be appreciated.

This reproduces itself to all connected apps.

Hi, on one of those libraries, can you try using the image editor to first delete the existing image.

Then assign your new image. Then see if it happens again after that. Thanks.

@Luke The problem has occured again, but this time not all library icons dissapeared.

I did a Library -> scan all librarys and most of the icons, both primary and miniature, dissapeard but not all.

It hasnt been a problem since i did as you suggested but it seems that this overall scan "broke" it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have no idea why this happens, the Icons are namned the same (Icon-collection-poster-Primary, and Icon-Collection-poster-landscape) so that cant be related since only some dissapears, and there isnt a "broken thumb" in the corner so the issue isnt that the file is corrupt or any folder-permissions. I have tried to use the metadata handler in the left meny and use the padlock icon on all the collection folders to see if that did anything but no luck.

 

I have not made any changes to my collection folder, other than the tip you gave me above, and im all out of ideas..

Try removing the dashes from the names of the image files.  Emby uses the dash in defining file names.  I am guessing this could be upseting the ID of the images.
