crusher11 1226 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 There doesn't appear to be any way to drag Playlist items to rearrange them on the mobile app.
Lessaj 517 Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Screenshot? Looks fine to me, there's a 3 dot menu and a grab handle to drag.
crusher11 1226 Posted June 18 Author Posted June 18 The two horizontal lines? Sure looks like a grab handle, but pressing it doesn't do anything.
Lessaj 517 Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Works just fine in the latest version 3.5.36. You're going to have to provide more details. 1
crusher11 1226 Posted June 18 Author Posted June 18 That's the version I'm on, and it's not working. I don't know what other details I could possibly provide here.

crusher11 1226 Posted June 19 Author Posted June 19 What I'm seeing is my playlist. I press the grab handles. I drag. The list scrolls, as it would do if I was pressing and dragging somewhere on the screen other than the grab handles. Basically, the grab handles don't seem to do anything.
crusher11 1226 Posted June 19 Author Posted June 19 The video will simply show the playlist scrolling, so I'm not sure what you think that will achieve. 1

And to cut through the unnecessary back-and-forth: SVID_20260619_183247_1.mp4 1
Lessaj 517 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Thank you for your helpful video. Looks like you're long pressing for too long, I did notice that the "time to grab" is a bit short. 1
GrimReaper 5030 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 (edited) You are absolutely correct - and that makes no sense whatsoever, why would there be a time-limit on grab time if you are deliberately pressing exactly there, on that exact position with the clear intention to drag (and not inadvertently) - and have a visual clue you've actually grabbed it, slight enlargement, as in "you've got it"? But at that time it's already too late, it needs to be grabbed and moved practically instantly, within 0.3-0.5 secs else zip. Literal exercise in dexterity. Thank you, it never even crossed my mind to move it before being told visually that I have grabbed it - quite the opposite, if anything that grab-time should be extended if not already infinite. That's an insane design choice. 33 minutes ago, GrimReaper said: Thank you, it never even crossed my mind to move it before being told visually that I have grabbed it - quite the opposite, if anything that grab-time should be extended if not already infinite. Right? It should be the other way around. If I go to scroll but accidentally touch the grab handle, it should just scroll. If I make a whole big deal about how I'm pressing down on the grab handle, it should grab the grab handle. It's completely backwards. 2
Lessaj 517 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 It's right in the screen record options in android. On my older device I only have audio and show touches but I have more on a newer device.
crusher11 1226 Posted June 19 Author Posted June 19 Ah, interesting. It appears that's only an option if recording the whole screen, whereas I always have it set to just record a single app.
Lessaj 517 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 So a more accurate description of the issue is that it's difficult to move items within a playlist using the grab handles available. The UX doesn't really make it clear that it's ready to be dragged, and long pressing on the grab handles doesn't maintain that action either, so you have a very short window to actually grab and move the item around. The OP read more like there were no grab handles at all.
crusher11 1226 Posted 35 minutes ago Author Posted 35 minutes ago Okay, so you can drag them, but only as far as the top of the screen. If you want to drag them further than that, you have to drag to the top of the screen, drop it, scroll, drag to the top of the screen, drop it, scroll...as many times as it takes to get where you want to go. screen-20260629-201141[1].mp4
