dcati 1 Posted Monday at 01:45 PM Posted Monday at 01:45 PM I made a faster m3u tuner because was tired of the loading spinner everytime i started up a new m3u iptv channel. The benefits of this tuner in comparisen with old one In memory channel-cache — fetches channels and holds in memory and serves subsequent request instantly untill TTL expires Custom User-Agent & HTTP headers per tuner — bypasses provider blocks/throttling Configurable playlist caching — no repeated fetches of large M3U files Built-in XMLTV EPG per tuner — no separate listing provider needed Stream retries + timeout control — automatic recovery on flaky streams Health probe — verifies a stream is reachable before Emby tries to open it HLS auto-detection — correct ffmpeg flags without manual configuration Radio channels & group-title — proper channel types and grouping in the UI The build is based on 4.9.3.0 version of emby server and tested on Ubuntu and windows Emby.FastIptv.dll 1
Chillout 117 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Thanks, Looks like a great improvement. Do we need to uninstall the old tuner and will it require rebuilding the Channels/tv guide after installing? Can this be released as an upgrade to the existing tuner in the catalog?

There is the webstreams plugin as an upgrade to the iptv plugin.

dcati 1 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago (edited) You can just remove the current tuner with your m3u list and add de fastIPTV tuner with same m3u list it should work the same. If not let me know what to improve.. Edited 1 hour ago by dcati
