bobbee001 5 Posted June 12 Posted June 12 can't access any videos, just clocks log:Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
pwhodges 2067 Posted June 12 Posted June 12 What client? What do you see on the screen? Can you provide the server log covering the time you tried? Paul
bobbee001 5 Posted June 12 Author Posted June 12 1. Windows 11 Display screen is normal, try to start any video and this message appears: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. just checked and emby works ok on my other pc. Same hard drives etc. I noticed that the good pc windows version is 24h2, the one having issues is windows 11 25h2 logs below 2. I made an err an posted twice, how can the other one be deleted embyserver-63916878249.txt hardware_detection-63916878223.txt
bobbee001 5 Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 I reinstalled the emby server which appears to fix the issue. I have another PC with the same libraries, different drive letters. Are there files that I can copy to the newly installed server and then just change the drive letters?
pwhodges 2067 Posted June 13 Posted June 13 You'd be stuck with comprehensively editing the database. Could you possibly change the other machine's drive letters to match? - or would that break other programs? Paul
bobbee001 5 Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 Close it out. I just went through and created new libraries
bobbee001 5 Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago (edited) hardware_detection-63917658857.txtI had this error last week. On PC win11 or Roku, libraries all look ok. Select video, picture appears and select start --- just starts the spinning timer Error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Last week after numerous hours, reinstalled the server and re configured. Been fine all week, today the error is back. Tried restore from within emby, same issue. Won't accept log file. embyserver.txt Edited 11 hours ago by bobbee001 add info: select transcode in cofig Emby Server transcoding services are still busy starting up. This screen will automatically refresh when transcoding services are ready.
Luke 42596 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Hi, try installing the server again on top of your existing installation and see if that helps.
bobbee001 5 Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Thats what I did to fix it last week, but now its back. I noticed on the restore there is an extract data, would that put the libraries back ? Do you think there is an issue with the transcoder, as it shows busy consistently. If so, any ideas ? Edited 11 hours ago by bobbee001 add info I have some backups, is there one or more for the libraries

If that resolves it then this tells me that you have anti-virus or security software on your machine tampering with your server installation files. We need to locate your original topic and merge this into that. It will make it easier for everyone to review all of the previous information. Thanks.
