DarWun 359 Posted yesterday at 12:42 AM Posted yesterday at 12:42 AM PSA. The Edge browser on my system was updated today to v149.xxx. Rounded corners are now permanent with no way to disable. Custom icons in the Favorites list are now generic "globe" icons. What I think will probably go unnoticed, is the scaling of Emby Home Screen icons is changed. Prior to update from Edge v148 to v149: After update to v149:
Gilgamesh_48 1251 Posted yesterday at 01:00 AM Posted yesterday at 01:00 AM Iread the post and I understand the problem however I do not understand what PSA means in context. I did a search for PSA and the main hit was: PSA is the world's largest third-party authentication company; the industry leader in card grading as well as autograph and memorabilia authentication. And the second hit was: PSA stands for Prostate-Specific Antigen, which is a protein produced by the prostate gland, and its levels are measured through a blood test to help check for prostate conditions, including prostate cancer. High levels of PSA may indicate a problem with the prostate, but they do not necessarily mean cancer is present. I do not think either meaning for PSA is true here but, even if I am not impacted by the issue, I like to understand the questions being asked. Thanks

I posted it that way as I don't think anyone will notice unless pointed towards it. If others do notice it, it is a Microsoft Edge change in scaling and not a result of anything Emby has done. Do I care? Not so much. But others might.

Luke 42534 Posted yesterday at 02:33 AM Posted yesterday at 02:33 AM Hi, what are the globe icons that you're referring to?

Sorry for not being more clear on that. It is a regression (I think) with the latest Edge update. It has nothing to do with Emby. After updating to v149 of Edge, the Favorites drop down shows this: All custom icons are gone. Edited yesterday at 03:09 AM by DarWun
js28194 46 Posted yesterday at 09:42 PM Posted yesterday at 09:42 PM People use edge? Your globe icons are called "Favicons" typically with a .ico file extension. People use edge?

Edge is the superior choice for watching any video as it supports all the formats and therefor doesn't require any transcoding. Firefox is slowly catching up. Chrome does support a good amount of formats but not as many as Edge. Pure browsing is a whole other discussion. 2

Gilgamesh_48 1251 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I use Chrome with the Duckduckgo extension. I do NOT play video much, except for brief tests, in my browser as the Emby clients I own are all vastly superior in picture and ease of use. I understand people, for one reason or another, wanting to use a browser for playback but I do not understand how either quality or ease of use could be one of the reasons. Shoot I even have a Fire stick plugged into my computer monitor for the rare times I want to play two different streams at the same time. Good clients are so cheap now days that having an extra that is only very rarely used is actually good economy.
