Purpose and Function

• Brings episode metadata [parental rating and custom rating so far] into line with the episode's show.
• Iterates through all TV Shows in All Libraries.
• Learning development and http/js less configuration pages

Plugin version of 

 

Getting Started

From configuration page:

• Enable preferred metadata. Save configuration.
• Keep in test mode until comfortable.
• Use "Run Now" and keep an eye on the debug log (and the practical effect on library metadata when out of test mode)

Designed to respect locked metadata.

Development Notes

Targets stable 4.9.1.90 so I think that means it should work on normal and beta server.

going to add networks and genres next.

issues and suggestions welcome.

Disclaimers

Vibe coded with Claude, backup database before use, only limited short term testing on beta server so far.

Note the dll name might have changed and possibly the XML config too, suggest you remove and start again.

Link to the plugin's scheduled task from the configuration page is not working. go the long way round.

Thank you! Works like a charm, incl. the fancy switch jumping during Task running  Is this intended?

Thanks for feedback....Hmm that looks dangerous better get onto that. The settings are only changed when 'save' or 'run now' is clicked is my understanding, so i am hoping that is just a visual anomaly, but special care required for now. The Run Now Status progress button is doing some page refreshes ...will look into. and i was so please with that progress ui element..i better not have to remove it.

Regarding functionality, everything worked as intended. I guess it's just visual.
