Is there a way to show movie covers and review on movie playlists in android tv app?

Is works on Android app and web app. But in android tv app, playlists just show the movie title.

Hi, can you please show a screenshot example of what you are referring to? Thanks.

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Thanks.

I did. Sideloaded emby Android app.

Playlists get shown with covers and reviews.

Tried on 3 different tvs and same thing happens

Android tv app does not show covers and reviews. As shown in the 3rd pic.

I can use emby app sideloaded on my tv, but as you know, it is not the best for hd, HDR and 4k content.

Wold be great to have covers and reviews on Android tv app.

You do not need to sideload it.  You can install it right from the store.

Emby for Android TV yes, it is available on the Android TV store. Installed it and get no covers on movie playlists.

Emby for Android (The one for Android cell phones) is not available on Android TV store. So, I sideloaded it.

Results:

Android TV versión does not show movie covers and reviews on playlists as shown on the images I sent.

The cellphone versión, sideloaded on the same Android TV, Does show movie covers and reviews.

Try searching for "emb" without the "y"

Nor it ever did. And considering general practice of directing users towards Universal Android app and AndroidTV app basically being in quasi-maintenance mode and getting minimal new features to kerp up with newer server version and inevitable sunset, I wouldn't put too much hope that that particular issue will ever be addressed.

Sad thing. The standard emby app is not as powerfull as the Android TV app I guess. As far as I know it does not handle full 4k hdr content. Or does it?
