Bird_Curtis 0 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Hi guys, I’m having an issue with the Last.fm plugin no longer authenticating or scrobbling. Environment: Emby Server 4.9.3.0 Windows 10 x64 Last.fm plugin installed from the Emby plugin catalog The plugin installs correctly and appears under: User Settings → Last.fm However, when I enter my Last.fm credentials and click Save, I receive: “Something went wrong” and scrobbling no longer works. I have Uninstalled / Reinstalled the Last.fm plugin + restarted the Emby Server and entered my Last.fm credentials, but I get a message back saying “Something went wrong”, there is no successful authentication and Emby does not appear as a newly authorised app under Last.fm connected applications. This could be a change in how Last.fm authenticates I'm not sure Relevant log excerpt: MediaBrowser.Model.Net.HttpException: Forbidden at Lastfm.Api.BaseLastfmApiClient.Post[TRequest,TResponse](TRequest request) at Lastfm.Api.LastfmApiClient.RequestSession(String username, String password) I will attach the full server log from the relevant timeframe. Thanks in advance. embyserver.txt

Solution Luke 42533 Posted May 18 Solution Posted May 18 HI, we've pushed an update to the Emby lastfm plugin to resolve this. Thanks guys. 3 1
TuXFire 4 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Hi Luke, Thanks for the update, but unfortunatly it doesn't solve the issue. I'm still have "something went wrong" popup when trying to enter and save my credentials.
Bird_Curtis 0 Posted May 18 Author Posted May 18 Thanks Luke, this has worked for me. If anyone else is having issues - you have to manually install the plugin again by going into the Catalog. It is version 1.0.30.0
TuXFire 4 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I uninstalled the extension, restarted emby, reinstalled, restarted again, and now it's working! Thanks. 1 1
pretter 1 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 That fix worked for me. Just manually installed the latest version over the top of the existing one, restarted, and then entered my last.fm credentials and all working. Thanks Luke!
Mike_S 0 Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (edited) Hi. The plugin was auto-updated 5/19/26 to ver. 1.0.30. But the issue still persists, my plays in Emby don't appear as scrobbles at last.fm. Edited May 22 by Mike_S typo + additional info

Mike_S 0 Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Hi. The issue is the same as described by the original poster. First, I noticed that last.fm is missing tracks that I've listened to in Emby. So I opened the last.fm plugin settings form, my username and password were there, and the "enable scrobbling" checkbox was active. I clicked the "save" button just in case, and got "Something went wrong" message. embyserver.txt
