Every Apple TV file in the Auto Direct option causes an issue where the image breaks up, as shown in the attached video. It only works if I lower the quality to something like 10 Mbps or lower, for example. Files from any other source work normally in Auto Direct.

Im on 2.3.0 version of emby on tv.

wi-fi 5Ghz, both equip. 1 meter from router, local server.

As previous informed, only having problems on Apple tv shows or movies.

Even bigger files are working fine, since the source até different From Apple.

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Oh, I just realised the issue from this comment.  There are too many subtitles or audio streams in Apple TV content and the Samsung player can't handle it. Ideally, you need less than 25 streams.

You either need to use a tool like MkvToolnix to create a copy with only the selected streams, write your own script using ffmpeg to create a copy with only the desired streams, or take a look at this plugin which was created exactly for this reason.

I can even test that, but if the issue is caused by the number of audio tracks or subtitles, why would lowering the stream quality solve the problem if all the audio and subtitle tracks are still there?

When you lower the stream quality we automatically trim back to about 10 tracks maximum which is why this resolves.  Doing it yourself avoids the need to drop the quality to resolve this.

You can also try the playback correction option in the playback OSD menu which should do the same thing without dropping quality
