ajcdk 4 Posted Monday at 10:49 AM Posted Monday at 10:49 AM Hi I've just come across a strange bug which has happened with the last 2 movies added to my library. The movies show that they have 2 different files, except it's the exact same file. Same path, name, size, added date - everything. I've verified that there is only the one file present, and tried scanning library files. I then tried to delete one of the movies from the library, which resulted in only one of the file versions disappearing, but the movie still existing and still showing the "duplicate" icon. The actual file disappeared too, which indicates that the other file is a "ghost" file somehow. I'm not really sure where to look here, so I'd greatly appreciate any pointers!
Luke 42289 Posted Monday at 08:57 PM Posted Monday at 08:57 PM HI there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks !
ajcdk 4 Posted Tuesday at 06:15 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:15 PM I'll do my best! I'm attaching a screenshot of a movie which lists the exact same file twice as well as logs from when it was added. It looks like it runs twice. embyserver-63911034000.txt

Hi, this should resolve your issue if you delete the entire parent folder, run a scan to clean out the database, and then add it back. I think this issue is likely caused by an older server version, meaning I don't think you'd see it happen on a fresh install.

There's a good chance you're right, it is an older installation (although running latest version). I just hope it doesn't become a recurring thing. Removing the entire folder, scanning and then re-adding does indeed fix the problem. 1

I may have found something. I have a duplicate movie. There is only 1 filename for both entries. I happened to notice IMDB has an AKA for the name. Black Gold (2011) is also Day Of The Falcon (2011). I have both movies, in different filenames, different folders. But Emby is seeing it as the same movie name and for some reason the same filename. See if your movie title is also known as something else and you have is stored under both names.
