AndyXH 78 Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Paying A movie on 4k has a green tint while playing it via the Emby and I also played the same movie via Infuse that’s connect to the same Emby server and looks clean check out the images. looks like Emby is Transcoding the audio and infuse is it check out the two screenshots of my monitor software I use Tracearr Emby for Apple TV 2.0.5 (3) Emby Server 4.10.0.6 Infuse app 8.4
alex77777 48 Posted March 28 Posted March 28 If you disable transcoding/container changing permissions for the user it will force the Apple TV to decode it client side rather than server side which will give proper Dolby Vision colors, TRUEHD to PCM conversion, and direct play of subtitles. This is not a perfect solution as this can cause playback issues on other devices that you use this profile on. What I do is have a separate profile for my Apple TVs with these permissions turned off. 1
Luke 42726 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 @AndyXH Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
JordenJJ 0 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @LukeThis has been going on for so insanely long now. You responded to posts in 2024 about the EXACT same issue that 'you were taking a look at it'. Can you please just be honest.
alex77777 48 Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago @JordanThe green tint is caused by the server transcoding/converting the stream, disabling transcoding and container changing permissions for the user is a good temporary fix. Often times the transcode is due to TrueHD audio being selected for the stream. At the moment the Emby Server unnecessarily transcodes TrueHD audio even though the Apple TV is able to convert it client side. The server side conversion is causing the Dolby Vision colors to be incorrect. I've made @Lukeaware of this in a recent post.
