Adamaen2 2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hello, Simple question, i want to add some informations to my movie name but i don't want them to be checked/used by emby. for exemple: \Movies\300 (2007)\300 (2007).mkv if i use "- some_comment .mkv" this will be treated as a movie version. does it need to be [some_comment] or {some_comment} or (some_comment)? I want be able to change this and emby doesn't see this as a new file. Thanks.

It won't, unless it's a multi-version movie. Movie filenames are not important in typical scenarios (single movie per folder) - folder names are, you can write whatever you want in the actual <moviefilename>.ext.

That is not feasible, each filename change will result in Emby seeing that item as newly added (if you save NFOs with media, all metadata will be retained - including original Date Added, which'll be honored for renamed file, just rename the NFO accordingly).
