Not sorting music into Albums

I have lots of Compilations e.g. Now That's What i Call Music 1 - 103

Emby shows Now 1 as 20 albums. Its making a new album for each Artist 

I want to just see Now 1 as an album, click on it and see 20 tracks

Note i have chosen. Perfectly organised into album folders, with tracks directly in the album folders

Try using mp3tag to edit albumartist to Various Artist.

And se if they all fall under "Various Artist" in sted of single artists.

Neminem suggestion of change artist to various artists works, but obviously looses the track artist

Ripped off CD's with old PC years ago with iTunes 8.2 as will see

Hi, I think you may have possibly misunderstood the requirement??? You should ideally be able to keep ARTIST as the embedded metadata individual artist(s) for the specific relevant tracks. You then need to ensure you have an additional embedded metadata field called ALBUMARTIST that pertains to the whole album as opposed to the individual songs. Once you have the separate ARTIST tags plus the overall ALBUMARTIST tag of (e.g.) "Various Artists" then Emby will combine the songs into the required Album. For these types of compilation albums if you want all tracks to show up as a single entity you want to make sure both the "album" and "album artist" fields are the same for all tracks. Otherwise the album will be split up for the various artists listed.

 

From you screenshot it doesn't look like you have any ALBUMARTIST or ALBUM ARTIST tags?

You can also check this with the metadata editor within Emby, but it is best to make any modifications required with you embedded metadata with a tagging program and then rescan into Emby. Cheers!
