Screen does not turn off on end-screen when automatic playback of next Episode is disabled

Hello,

I've been using my Android Tablet and Emby for a long time to watch shows when going to bed, and most of the time I fall asleep at some point. For that reason, I have disabled the automatic playback of the next Episode in the Emby settings.

There was an update a good while ago where the app stopped turning off the display of my tablet on the end screen (where you can click to watch the next episode). As a result, I would wake up in the middle of the night because of the light from the display, and my tablet was out of battery every day.

It got fixed at some point (I didn't report it at that time). However, with the recent update (I believe around the time the picture in picture feature was introduced) the bug came back and now it gets stuck on that screen again every night.

I couldn't find any setting related to this, so I'm assuming it's a bug?

Hi, what is on the screen in the Emby app when this happens?

It says "Emby for Android 3.5.28" when I click on the user icon in the top right. I hope that's the right one.

OK it's possible that this will be improved with the next update to the app as there are changes related to this. Thanks.

Alright thank you very much!

I believe this should generally be classified as Bug and possibly be accounted for in automated tests (if possible of course) since this was not a thing for like the first year or more of me using Emby, then all of a sudden became a thing after an update, then disappeared again, and now is happening again. I believe it should be consistent and I think most users would expect the display of their Device to turn off at some point after playback stops entirely, especially on a mobile device where it'll drain the battery if it doesn't happen.

You most likely did take some sort of action, the only reason why I'm trying to force this topic is because I really really love Emby and I'm basically using it on a daily basis and I have my battery drained constantly because of this little issue. So sorry for applying additional pressure or whatever, I just really like the product :)
