Live TV: Split "Enable Live TV" into "View" and "Record" permissions

Currently, in the User Profile settings, enabling "Enable Live TV" automatically grants the user the ability to start recordings. For server admins providing Live TV to multiple users (especially with limited IPTV streams), this is a major issue.

I would like to see a separate toggle under the User Profile  for each user:

• Allow Live TV playback

• Allow Live TV recording / DVR management

This prevents users from accidentally or intentionally filling up hard drives or consuming all available tuner streams.

Thank you for the clarification. Regarding the 'Manage Live TV' permission: back in September 2025, I experienced an issue where toggling this setting didn't seem to take effect immediately. Even after the user logged out and back in, the recording options remained visible. Was this a known bug during that period?

Additionally, I would like to submit a feature request regarding how recordings are stored and displayed:

Currently, all recordings end up in a shared pool. I would like to see an option for Private User Recordings.

• Individual Folders: Each user should have their own dedicated recording folder/library.
• Privacy by Default: A recording should only be visible to the user who scheduled it.
• Admin Control: Only an administrator should have the permission to move a private recording to a 'Public' library for other users to see.
• Organization: This could be managed via a separate library category specifically for user-based content.

This would give much better control over privacy and library management. Is this something that is being considered?"

Hi, it could have been but I don’t recall that. In any event I would give it another try.
