Betonhaus 18 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 It's getting harder and harder to find a basic tv that doesn't have any smart apps functionality, so might as well pick a better one. Is it better to go with a simpler OS like Roku or LG webOS or something fancy like Samsung's Tizen or something like Google TV that supports the whole google ecosystem?
ebr 16168 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Hi. Totally personal preference but I'd choose the TV for its picture quality and other features and forget about the built in OS. A much better experience is most likely available for $60 through another device. If you must, though, I'd stick with one of the standard majors like Android TV or Roku whichever is the most to your liking. 1

Ok, so so Roku TVs or Google TVs have better picture quality, or what would be the choice if the picture quality is indistinguishable? Edited February 12 by Betonhaus
Solution yocker 1247 Posted February 12 Solution Posted February 12 I would say Android TV. You have way more control with that than anything else and can there for remove most of the spyware installed by the manufacture.
