Thuzad 50 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Hello, I am looking to change my authentication method to use LDAP. I have quite a few local accounts on Emby and would like to migrate them. If I need to reset the passwords, that's no problem, but I would like to keep everything else related to the accounts: - Media watched - Preferences - etc. I know this isn't possible by default, but is there a way to do it? I've thought of a few things: - Try to create an LDAP account and see how it's structured in the database, then make the necessary updates (I think there's a big risk involved) - Create a new Emby instance and use watchstate, but I'll lose the users' preferences Thanks in advance for your help.
Thuzad 50 Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Ok I think I have found : - stop the server - Into the settings.xml of the user change : <AuthenticationProviderId>Emby.Server.Implementations.Library.DefaultAuthenticationProvider</AuthenticationProviderId> to <AuthenticationProviderId>LDAP.AuthenticationProvider</AuthenticationProviderId> Can you tell me if is ok ?
