HW transcoding stopped working after 4.9.3.0 update

I am no longer getting these errors after a rollback and tone mapping is fixed.

@LukeThis still seems to be an issue on 4.9.5.

Do we know what the latest stable version that correctly handles hardware tonemapping? is it in fact 4.9.1.90?

Yes. That's the latest that isn't broken.

I just installed a A380 GPU via unraid, was able to get it working with Tone Mapping under 4.9.1.90 only. Took me hours to figure it all out, and I'm watching this thread for updates. Thank you.

You might have to provide more details because in my case the new stable release did resolve the HW tone mapping.

Docker container (with emby prep) on QNAP NAS with NVIDIA GP107GL Quadro P620 graphics card.

 

Observation:

Updates after version 4.9 the loses hardware transcoding in the interface. if rollback in 4.9 transcoding OK

Just wanted to check, is this now fixed? I had a quick test myself, and it still seems to be an issue with HDR Tone Mapping reverting to CPU. 

So I am still on version 4.9.1.90 where it is working okay.

It is fixed for some. If it's still not working for you then it might be specific to your combo of OS and GPU.
