trampwallju 0 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Hello, I've looked through a lot of very similar posts but haven't found a fix yet personally. I have season 2 of a show in one folder, and season 1 under a different path. Both paths are included in a library. That library is treating the 2 season as separate shows. I've attached the server log and just ran a scan. Here's how the seasons show up as their own show in the library: the 2 shows external IDs: This setting in the library settings: These are the paths of an episode in each season: /data/tvshowsarchive/The Pitt/S01/The.Pitt.S01E01.7.00.A.M.1080p.MAX.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.HEVC-YELLO.mkv /data/tvshows/The Pitt/S02/The.Pitt.S02E01.700.A.M.1080p.HMAX.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.265-NTb.mkv And these are the paths included in the library: (COULD BE RELEVANT) The path that contains season 2 of this show, is also included in another library: So in that library (Current), I see season 2 but not 1, which is as intended. Ideally in the first library (TV Shows), I would see the series only once, and it would contain both seasons. But now I have the 2 seasons as different TV shows in that library. Thanks for any help, let me know if anything else is needed embyserver (5).txt

Solution Luke 42078 Posted January 12 Solution Posted January 12 Hi, yes the problem is that /data/tvshows is used in multiple libraries.
trampwallju 0 Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 Thanks Luke for the answer and confirmation. Any plans to support that better or is that use case not common enough?
Chillout 110 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I would think Emby could handle this the same as different versions of the same file like it does if you have 720p, 1080p, mp4, mkv files of the same video. I have several IPTV providers and local copies of the file and it creates multiple copies of the tv show instead of combining them.

Well it is sort of supported, except that when you have one folder in multiple libraries, then which library options get used? the answer to that is that you might as will consider it random, and in this case the other library options got used. It might be better to examine why you needed to setup this way in the first place and see if there’s a better way.
