Subsequent episode playback only shows series backdrop

I found a related thread, albeit on different platforms, which is why I created a new thread. The first episode will play fine, but the second episode queues up and plays, but the backdrop image is the only thing on the screen and it is kind of faded. Reproducible every time the next episode starts. The only way to correct is to back out and restart the episode.

Server

• Ubuntu 24
• Docker image

Client

• Chromecast for GoogleTV (1080p version)
• Emby for Android
• Connected through http on local network

I've tried clearing storage of the app, uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Any ideas?

Hey Luke.

Attached is a log of the Emby server during the playback. I fast forwarded to the end with about 15 seconds left and let it play. I changed the username to *USER*.

Hi, have you updated to Emby for Android 3.5.28? Has that helped?

Hey Luke! I confirmed Emby was on that version last night and in my initial plays, it was no longer happening. I think its safe to call this one closed and if I see it again, I'll grab another log for you. Appreciate you and the team for the quickly addressing the issue!
