Have you tried with the VPN turned off? Or is your ISP using a CGNat that requires you to use a VPN for remote access?

I tried with the VPN turned off, still didn't work. At this point I'm willing to just let the matter be closed, it doesn't look like there's any actual solution here.

With the vpn turned off, you need to use a different remote address, right? Did you take that into account?

 Does your isp use a cgnat?
